Meet the Artisans

The Nautilus Drydocks is a portal for those individuals wishing to acquire the most accurate in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea memorabilia and replicas.

The craftsmen and artists that put these products together are amongst the most informed leagues historians in the industry. Their experience spans decades.

The combined talents of these artisans make for a unique working ensemble, dedicated to exacting recreations, and not interpretations, of the now classic 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea film.

Feel free to email the Nautilus Drydocks at any time with comments, suggestions and questions. We'd love to hear from you.

Bob Martin started his model building career with a scratchbuilt Nautilus model for R/C use and now has years of model-making experience under his belt. Documentation of his building efforts has resulted in the creation of one of the R/C submarine hobby's most visited resources, Rc-sub.com.

Bob is now heading up the Nautilus Drydocks and will be working as the endeavor's liason to the public as well as acting as the contact for orders and product information.

Jim Key has produced the now classic 66” Nautilus kit which we are now revamping and re-offering on this site. Jim is owner of Custom Replicas, a professional model design studio that caters to discerning collectors of movie memorabilia.

A noted industry veteran, Jim has headed up the design and construction of many movie replica models.

Scott Brodeen has produced many a Nautilus industry standard model and replica, and even assisted in the recent 2006 restoration of the original eleven foot filming miniature, also known as the "hero" model.

Scott's impressive resume leads back decades and he is widely regarded as one of the few people in the world who can be considered an "expert" on the Nautilus and its construction.
